MetaMuseum provides consulting to museums and historical societies on issues relating to the Internet, multimedia, and technology in general. Just as every artifact has a story to tell, so does every museum. Stories are influenced by their mediums, and the web medium provides a unique and interactive opportunity to tell a story. For an organization seeking wider dissemination of its message, a virtual museum can present not only artifacts and collections on display, but those currently in storage.
